TACTIL CONTEST RULES

The TACTIL contest was created to recognize relevant, creative and best-performing digital ad creatives (HTML) and branded content screens (XTRA) designed for La Presse+.

ELIGIBILITY

The contest is open to advertisers having created interactive ads (HTML) or branded-content screens (XTRA) for publication in La Presse+. Pieces entered must have been published in La Presse+ between January 1st and December 31st, 2024. Each advertiser may submit up to five (5) pieces. Please note that advertising screens series and content screens series (special editions and XTRA series) are not eligible for the contest. You must select only one single screen from a given series in order to be eligible to the contest. Entries must be received before midnight, Friday, April 4th, 2025. ENTER TODAY

ENTER

To participate, you must fill in all mandatory fields in the registration form. There is no charge to enter the TACTIL Contest.

Jury

The jury for the TACTIL contest comprises nine well-known industry professional. The Jury President is Laurence Laperrière, Associate Vice President, Strategy, Cossette. The remaining members are: Hélène Gingras, Director of Advertising, Strategies and Production, Télé-Québec; Frédérick Lanteigne, Marketing Director, Brand and Content, belairdirect; Kristel Dupont, Public Relations Director, Rethink; Khaled Antably, Content Strategist, Publicis Montréal; Stéphanie Painchaud, Marketing General Manager, Tanguay; Laurent Plourde, President, Groupe Voyages Québec; Wendy Moran, Creative Advisor, La Presse and Sarah Boucher, Content Strategist, La Presse.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

To determine the winners, a La Presse team will first select a short list of 12 pieces per category from those submitted, in consideration of the specifications, the relevance of the content, and the advertising performance score. Those pieces will then be submitted to the jury, the members of which will evaluate them using the following criteria:

Interactive ad (HTML)
Category

  • Innovative concept that fully utilises the interactive, digital medium
  • Highlighting the successful use of the advertising format
  • Original storytelling
  • Engagement

Branded content (XTRA)
Category

  • Treatment: the subject is treated in a way that engages attention
  • Quality: the content is relevant and interest is sustained throughout the reading process
  • Outcomes: the outcomes matched the intended objectives
  • Impact: the advertiser’s message is understood, and the article respects the essence of the advertiser’s brand while blending organically with the La Presse+ editorial content

The jury’s decision shall be final and without appeal.

PRIZES

Interactive ad (HTML)
Category

  • Three (3) 13 in. iPad Pro tablets, 256 GB, Wi-Fi. The winning advertiser shall be responsible for determining which three (3) people will receive the three (3) tablets.
  • Three (3) Apple Pencil Pro with each iPad.
  • A $20,000 media campaign on La Presse platforms to be used by December 31, 2026.

Approximate value of this prize: $26,000.

Branded content (XTRA)
Category

  • Three (3) 13 in. iPad Pro tablets, 256 GB, Wi-Fi. The winning advertiser shall be responsible for determining which three (3) people will receive the three (3) tablets.
  • Three (3) Apple Pencil Pro with each iPad.
  • A $20,000 media campaign on La Presse platforms to be used by December 31, 2026.

Approximate value of this prize: $26,000.

Total approximate value of all the prizes: $52,000.

All prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred, substituted, or exchanged for money. The contest organizer reserves the right, at its sole and entire discretion, and for any reason whatsoever, to replace a prize or a part of a prize with a prize of equal or greater value, including a cash award.

The winning advertising pieces will be announced no later than the month of June 2025, during the Idéa Gala powered by A2C.

Contest participants authorize La Presse to use their name, photograph, and/or image for advertising purposes, for an unlimited period, and without any form of compensation.

The contest organizer shall not be liable whatsoever for any situation in which its inability to act is the result of circumstances that are beyond its control, or a strike, lockout or any other labour dispute in its establishments or in the establishments of the organizations or businesses whose services are used for this contest. The contest organizer reserves the right, at its sole and entire discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this contest in whole or in part, in the event of any cause or circumstance, including, without limitation, any virus, computer bug or unauthorized human intervention or any other cause that is beyond its control, that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the contest.
